Why I believe this
Education products will become much more personalised through AI. They will be able to adapt explanations, feedback, pace, exercises, and support to the individual learner.
But the strongest products will not be the ones that simply keep people returning.
They will be the ones that make people more capable without making them dependent. They will help learners understand what they are doing, build confidence through real progress, and eventually need the product less—not more.
The most important metric will not be time spent.
It will be increased agency.
What would change my mind
If engagement-first learning products consistently produce better long-term learning outcomes than products designed around independence and mastery.
